Infant Day Care: 6 weeks to 18 months
At Children’s Enchanted Learning Center, we believe that forming a parent-teacher bond is essential for a successful infant program. We understand that one of the most difficult things to do as a parent is to leave your little one with a different caregiver. To help ease this process we have made it one of our primary goals to keep you informed about every step of your child’s day.
To keep you connected, we offer an interactive service called LifeCubby. LifeCubby is an online tool that Children’s Enchanted uses to help you stay up-to-date on how your child’s day. In real time, you will be able to check up on your child to see when they had their diaper changed, when and what they’ve eaten, when they took a nap, and more. LifeCubby also allows us to share pictures of your children with you will always know what they’re doing and when. You’ll also get the chance to see how much fun they’re having in the classroom. Children’s Enchanted takes pride in using this tool to give some peace of mind to our loving families.
Our infant programs consist of activities to support each developmental milestone. To ensure your child reaches each milestone they will participate in various activities to support gross and fine motor skills as well as social skills. For example, from about 4-6 months, babies begin learning how to roll from laying onto their backs to laying onto their stomachs. The teacher might hold toys near or over your child to encourage them to use this skill. Other activities include, but are not limited to: being read to, singing, baby sign language, and baby yoga.
Children’s Enchanted will help your child succeed in reaching the milestones for their age group. We offer three separate classrooms for our infants to tailor to your child’s developmental needs:
Younger Infant Room – Ages 6 Weeks to 6 Months
In a small class setting of about four children at a time, your child will have multiple one on one interactions with their caregiver. For example, your child’s caregiver will hold your baby during feeding times, sing & read to them, and participate individually with the teacher for baby yoga.
Older Infant Room – Ages 6 to 12 Months
In this class, the teachers will continue to have one-on-one time with your child, but start to include more group interactions as well. While your child is learning through play, the teachers will assist them in making key transitions before they can move on to the Toddler 1 classroom. This includes moving from using a bottle to a sippy cup, baby food to table food, and from crawling to walking.
Toddler 1 Room – Ages 12 to 18 months
In this class, the teachers begin to integrate your child into a daily schedule shared by the other children in the classroom. They start the day with an interactive circle time in which the teacher may sing songs, read stories, and teach baby sign language. Throughout the day, children will enjoy activities such as art projects, music & movement, sensory activities, and more. During eating times, teachers will guide your child through basic self-help and social skills for eating at the table.
